For the first time in history, an Israeli footballer is going to play in an Arab club. The name of that footballer is Dia Mohamed Saba. He has played in 10 international matches for the Israeli national team jersey. He is an aggressive midfielder.
Al Nasser, a Dubai-based Arab Gulf League football club, signed the Israeli midfielder on Monday.
On Monday, the club announced on their Twitter profile that Saba has been added to the team. Al Nasser posted a video on social media.
Dia Mohamed Saba played for the Chinese club Guangzhou R&F. From there, he will play for Al Nasser on a two-year contract. However, the club did not disclose the price at which the player was sold.
However, according to various media reports, Al Naser has spent 2.5 million euros to get Saba for two seasons.
In a statement, club Al Nasser said: "Al Nasser has completed all formalities with Dia Saba. After successfully passing the medical test on Monday morning, he has a two-year contract.
In a video posted on social media about Saba, Saba showed off some skills at Al Maktoum Stadium after wearing Al Nasser's No. 9 jersey, as well as dribbling. Alone in the net.
